Pattern of the month - Ink

Ink is a textured vest that is perfect for transitional weather. Worked in DK weight yarn from the top down, shown in Inkpot farm DK, a fab 100% British wool yarn.

Reasons to love this pattern:

  • Sized to fit chest measurements from 63-161 cm / 25” to 63” depending on your choice of ease.

  • The ribbed texture has loads of stretch.

  • Working a vest means no sleeve island to get stuck on - work the body, add edgings and you are done.

  • No seaming, weave in the ends and the vest is ready to wear.

  • Use this pattern as a stash buster - the sample shown uses just 200g of yarn for a size 36" bust worn with negative ease and a slightly cropped style.

  • DK yarn gives a balance of speedy knitting with warmth, but not too hot.

  • Adjust the pattern to suit your style - adjust armhole depth, body length, ease.

  • A perfect piece for variable Spring and Autumn weather, when a full sweater is too much.

  • Team it with a smart collared shirt, jeans and boots for a great look.
